Vassilis Pelekanos


I hold a BSc in Philosophy & History of Science from the University of Athens, Greece (Thesis: ‘Religion and science: a relational approach with emphasis in psychology and physics’), and an MSc in Basic & Applied Cognitive Science (Thesis: ‘The effect of language comprehension on visual perception’) from the same University.
I have worked for two years (2009-2011) at the Cognitive Science Lab, University of Athens, under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Konstantinos Moutoussis and for six years (2003-2009) at the Educational Technology department of the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (Research centre ‘Athena’; Athens, Greece)

Research Interests

 Visual Perception: Binocular Vision, Multisensory Integration, Top-Down influences on Perception.

Approaches: Visual Psychophysics, Cognitive Neuroscience, TMS.
