Biography:

I grew up in the suburbs of Sydney, Australia and attended the University of Sydney, majoring in both advanced mathematics and psychology. Since then, I have relocated to the United Kingdom to undertake a PhD with Dr Andrew Welchman at the University of Birmingham.

We are using fMRI and multivariate analytical techniques to examine the relationship between neural activity and visual perception. Foremost, we are examining binocular disparity and how it is processed in the human visual system.

So far, I have presented my research at VSS 2010 in Naples, Florida (abstract available at Journal of Vision using DOI: 10.1167/10.7.366). I am also looking at collaborating with Prof Rainer Goebel to extend this understanding to motion processing using real-time fMRI processing.
